In Trump vs. Amazon, My Money's on Bezos

Opinions Although the order does not name Amazon or Jeff Bezos direct, Trump's tweets make clear that the audit is aimed at trying to injure the billionaire man of affairs and his company by increasing how much Amazon has to pay to utilize USPS for deliveries.

As a source close to the White House told Vanity Fair, "It's state of war."

I see this inspect as having ii major consequences, one unintended.

The first could be to evidence that the USPS actually benefits from having Amazon as a top client; many inside Washington point out that Amazon is the reason the USPS is still afloat. Of course, the audit could recommend that Amazon pay college fees when its next contract is negotiated before long.

If that happens it could push Bezos to create an Amazon-owned armada of planes and vans in order to gratuitous itself from the USPS completely.

I have been talking to sources at UPS and FedEx, and the prospect of Amazon acquiring its own fleet of planes and commitment vehicles keeps both companies upward at night. For USPS, it would hateful even deeper loses besides as laying off those who were added to aid with the Amazon contract.

While an audit of the USPS is a skillful business practise, the motive behind it is not. Trump and team better be ready for an event that may not be to their liking. In a business fight between Trump and Amazon, my money is on Jeff Bezos. One way or the other, he has to do what is best for his company and shareholders.
